New Find!

I posted previously about using Google Drive to keep track of my counseling notes. I love Google Drive and will continue to use it to survey teachers for groups and other programming.

As I was searching my favorite blogs for back to school ideas, I came across noteCounselor.  I have explored many different ways to keep my notes that is both convenient and easily accessible.  noteCounselor has it all!  All of my notes are in one place that can be accessed from anywhere!  I have a link on my computer as well as my iPad so I can access my notes wherever I am.  Amanda Lea Chambers developed this secure note taking device especially for school counselors.

Another feature that I like about noteCounselor is that it keeps track of the amount of hours I spent on all the facets of my job.  It is actually very rewarding to look at how much I do (and we just finished the 2nd week of school)!

Even though I have just begun to use this resource, I HIGHLY recommend noteCounselor to all of the incredible school counselors out there!

  1. Hi Emily! I am so excited to have stumbled across your blog...and I can't wait to try out Google Drive and look into NoteCounselor. Honestly, anything that helps me stay organized with the 600 students at my school is amazing! I nominated your blog for a Liebster Award :) You may have seen it around the blogosphere, but for more info please check out my blog post here: http://confessionsofaschoolcounselor.blogspot.com/2013/08/liebster-award.html. Happy back to school! -Kristi

  4. NoteCounselor seems wonderful! It is about mid-way through the school year now so I am not going to waste my time importing old student data but I am incredibly excited to have a singular platform for all of my notes! (Doesn't hurt that there is a free trial period!) Thanks so much!

  5. I am very glad I found your blog and this information about noteCounselor since I am a new counselor at a school where a new counseling program has to be formulated. I do have a few questions that I was not able to find on the website.

How much is the program after your trial period runs out?
How do you imput classroom guidance without having to put all the students in the school?

Thanks so much for the information you share throughout your blog.

    1. It is $49 per year after your trial.
I just put the teachers last name and in the notes I put "Lesson #____"
